Australian Dreamtime Tarot

Australian Dreamtime Tarot
The Australian Dreamtime Tarot was designed by Keith Courtenay-Peto (artwork) and his wife Daicon Courtenay-Peto (text). The artwork is based on aboriginal rock art that Courtenay-Peto saw during a visit to the Kimberleys in Western Australia in 1960.
The deck consists of 78 cards, 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana. All cards, including the minor arcana, contain images; however, the pips only contain images of the objects representing the suit. The four suits of the minor arcana are kundas/staffs, coolamons/cups, muggils/knives and wariats/pentacles; the court cards are maiden, hunter, earth mother and tribal elder.

 

 

Cosmic Tribe Tarot

Cosmic Tribe Tarot
The Cosmic Tribe Tarot is a photo collage deck created by Stevee Postman.
The deck consists of 78 cards, 24 major arcana (three different Lovers cards, for different sexual orientations) and 56 minor arcana. All cards, including the minor arcana, contain images. The four suits of the minor arcana are wands, cups, swords and disks; the court cards are prince, princess, knight and queen.
Since the Cosmic Tribe Tarot is a Thoth-based deck, major arcana 8 is Balance (Justice) and major arcana 11 is Strength.

Glastonbury Tarot

Glastonbury Tarot
The Glastonbury Tarot was designed by Lisa Tenzin-Dolma from Glastonbury. The Glastonbury Tarot follows the sequence and symbolism of other traditional tarot decks, but contains within its imagery the inspirational myths, legends, hystorical figures and sacred sites from Glastonbury.
The deck consists of 78 cards, 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana. The major arcana all have subtitles that refer to the Arthurian legends. All cards, including the minor arcana, contain images. The four suits of the minor arcana are staffs, chalices, swords and vesicas; the court cards are maid, knight, queen and king.

Jolanda den Tredjes Tarot

Jolanda den Tredjes Tarot
The Jolanda den Tredjes Tarot is a Swedish deck designed by Rosie Björkman and Hans Arnold.
The deck consists of 78 cards, 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana. All cards, including the minor arcana, contain images. The four suits of the minor arcana are stavar (wands), bägare (cups), svärd (swords) and mynt (pentacles); the court cards are prinsessan (princess), prinsen (prince), drottningen (queen) and kungen king).

Le Tarot d’Or is a French deck created by Joëlle Balle.

Old English Tarot

Old English Tarot
The Old English Tarot was designed by Maggie Kneen. The artwork is in medieval English style and it is based upon a medieval English manuscript, the Luttrell Psalter, which was created in the 14th century by Sir Geoffrey Luttrell.
The deck consists of 78 cards, 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana. All cards, including the minor arcana, contain images; however, the pips only contain very small images. The four suits of the minor arcana are batons, cups, swords and coins; the court cards are knave, knight, queen and king.

Osho Zen Tarot

Osho Zen Tarot
The Osho Zen tarot is definitely not a traditional tarot deck for divination. It is a transcendental game of Zen that is meant to provide insight into the present.
This tarot deck was created by the Osho Commune International and the artwork was done by Ma Deva Padma (Susan Morgan).
The deck consists of 79 cards, 23 major arcana (the “usual” 22 major arcana and an additional card, “The Master”) and 56 minor arcana. The four suits of the minor arcana are water, fire, clouds and rainbows; the court cards are page, knight, queen and king.

Rider-Waite Tarot

Rider-Waite Tarot
The Rider-Waite deck was designed by Dr. Arthur Edward Waite (1857-1942) and was first published in England in 1910. The cards were drawn by American Pamela Colman Smith.
The deck consists of 78 cards, 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana. All cards, including the minor arcana, contain images. The four suits of the minor arcana are wands, cups, swords and pentacles; the court cards are page, knight, queen and king.
The Rider-Waite deck is widely used as an example in study books on tarot because it is considered to be an intuitive deck by many people due to the meaningful images. There are various “clones” of the deck, which use the same images but different colouring.

Rock & Roll Tarot

Rock & Roll Tarot
The Rock & Roll Tarot was designed and self-published by artist Chris Paradis to celebrate the first fifty years of rock & roll music. The deck combines stichomancy (words out of a text selected at random as an oracle) and cartomancy (cards as an oracle).
Each card contains the image of a rock & roll singer or band and a quote from a song by this artist.
The deck consists of 78 cards, 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana. In addition, there are eight alternate cards to provide a choice for some of the cards, plus a number of cards with background information. All cards, including the minor arcana, contain images. The four suits of the minor arcana are voice (traditionally wands), muse (traditionally cups), guitars (traditionally swords) and albums (traditionally pentacles); the court cards are princess, prince, queen and king.

 

Shakespearian Tarot

Shakespearian Tarot
The Shakespearian Tarot was designed by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki. The cards were drawn by Paul Hardy.
The deck consists of 78 cards, 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana. All cards, including the minor arcana, contain images. The four suits of the minor arcana are sceptres, crowns, swords and orbs; the court cards are lady, lord, queen and king.
All cards are based on scenes from plays by William Shakespeare and each card contains a quote from the play it is based on. The Lovers card, for example, is based on a scene from Romeo and Juliet and contains the quote “Go, get thee to thy love as was decreed”.

 

 

Tarot of the Old Path

Tarot of the Old Path
The Tarot of the Old Path was created by Sylvia Gainsford and Howard Rodway with the help of eight witches, and was based on the traditions of the Wicca Path.
The deck consists of 78 cards, 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana. All cards, including the minor arcana, contain images. Some of the traditional names of the major arcana have been changed; the Hierophant, for example, is called the High Priest, Death is called The Close and the Devil is called Temptation.
The four suits of the minor arcana are rods, cauldrons, swords and pentacles; the court cards are page, knight, queen and king.

World Spirit Tarot

World Spirit Tarot
The World Spirit Tarot was designed by Lauren O’Leary and Jessica Sczuka Godino. The illustrations are based on the illustrations that Pamela Colman Smith made for the Rider-Waite tarot and the illustrations that Lady Frieda Harris made for the Aleister Crowley Thoth tarot. In addition, Lauren O’Leary added new symbols. The people shown on the cards represent many different cultures.
The deck consists of 78 cards, 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana. All cards, including the minor arcana, contain images. The four suits of the minor arcana are wands, cups, swords and pentacles; the court cards are seer, seeker, sibyl and sage.

Archetypal Reiki Cards
The Archetypal Reiki Cards, created by Dorothy May, consist of 28 cards falling into four categories, each addressing a different aspect of healing: Awakening, The Path to Truth, Initiation And Purification, and Empowerment.
The cards can be used for healing rituals, for meditation, to access reiki energy and for guidance.

Faeries’ Oracle
The Faeries’ Oracle, created by Brian Froud and Jessica Macbeth, consists of 66 cards, divided into five different groups: “The Singers of the Realms”, “The Sidhe”, “Faery Guides and Guardians”, “The Help-Line Troupe” and “The Faery Challengers”.
The cards contain beautiful images of the faeries.

I-Ching Holitzka Deck
The I-Ching Holitzka, created by Klaus Holitzka and Marlies Holitzka, consists of 64 cards, one card for each of the 64 I-Ching hexagrams.
The cards contain images in black on a white background, with red and gold accents.

Oracle of the Dreamtime
This oracle deck, created by Donni Hakanson and Francis Firebrace, consists of round cards that form a collection of contemporary Australian Aboriginal art. Both the artwork and the symbology is based on authentic Aboriginal Dreamings.
The deck consists of 45 cards divided into five suits: Nature, Earth, Air, Water and Humankind.

TAO Oracle

TAO Oracle
The TAO Oracle consists of 64 cards with original paintings by Ma Deva Padma. The cards represent “portraits” of the faces of change, of the various aspects of Tao. Each card also contains one of the 64 hexagrams from the I Ching plus two pictograms from a series of eight that represent the energetic quality associated with each of the eight basic trigrams of the I Ching.
